Pandalus hypsinotus (도화새우) is one of the crustaceans belonging to the deciduous tree. Inhabit the entire Bering Sea from the East Sea at depths of 100 to 200 meters. It is also called ‘Dokdo Shrimp’ (독도새우) along with the reddish shrimp and barley lobster as they are found in Dokdo islands in East Sea. It is the largest of the three Dokdo shrimps.

On November 7, 2017, when Donald Trump visited the Republic of Korea, Dohwa shrimp was named `` Dokdo Shrimp. Han Yun-ju, who organized the dinner, said he used boiled shrimp because it has a texture similar to Trump's favorite lobster.

On the other hand, in Japan they are mainly caught in Toyama Bay, so they are called `` Toyama shrimp (ト ヤ マ エ ビ).
